Some Day

Where are you now my love Are you near Or, are you far? Do you search the stars above And imagine me Is it my face you try to see? Do you lie awake at night Softly weeping instead of sleeping? Do you wonder if we might Some day finally meet Is it my heart that you seek? Do your arms ache to hold me As my arms do To hold only you? Is it my embrace you need To hold you tight And keep you safe into the night? Does my wrinkled face appear There next to you In your faded youth? My gray head, my eyes, my tears That then fills your sight, As you slip into that long night? Are we two halves of a whole A plan of love From Heaven above For two lost and lonely souls? If so, then I pray That I find your sweet love, some day. Timothy I. Brumley

This makes my heart ache, so filled with lovely emotions about those sad fading years we are all headed to. I've read this five times and it keeps me fascinated. I wrote one "Do you Love Me" that asks similar questions.

Thank you for guiding me to this beautiful poem, Timothy. As y0u know, I can relate to feeling like only "half" of a whole. A very lovely and moving verse, Tim! Soup mail returned. I don't know if yuur blog is still posted, but I'll check. Love, Carolyn
