Solitude's Mist
A breathless dream, another sleepless night,
Always aware something is not quite right;
My heart is screaming out for love, her love,
As softly, feather pillows soak up tears,
I see her face smile in the moon above
And moving on becomes the least of fears.
The pain awakens again as dawn nears,
I face yet another day on my own
Until solitude’s mist fades and disappears
Through this life, I now must journey alone.
