Solitary

I"ve been sent to solitary.
I've been serving quite some time.
I'm sitting here trying to figure out.
If the punishment fits the crime.

The sunlight seems to only shine.
In other peoples lives.
I spend my days down on my knees.
Hoping that my soul survives.

I've made some friends inside my head.
But they don't hang around.
It's better I should just be dead.
And six feet in the ground.

They say a life devoid of love.
Is not a life at all.
Well that is not for me to say.
Better, you should ask my wall.

oh Robert. I feel bad for you that you are so solitary. I am someone who loves being alone but I get a big kick out of having my internet friends. Maybe a lot of us poets are a bit loners? But I really wish for you to find love!!
