Solider

She sits on her porch While the wind blows through her hair Waiting for her love to come back Just sits and stares Weeks go by Nothing but strangers walk by She just sits and thinks to herself What if he doesn't come back, what if he dies What if he is lying somewhere hurt Noone there to help him out She finally walks in her house Lies on her bed and pouts A month goes by Still no sign There's a knock on the door, she opens it There's someone in the shadows who look so kind He walks in the light A man in a military uniform, it's him Her love has returned from the war She runs up, hugging him Never letting go, for they have reunited
