Notes About The Poem
Our boys are tired. They have done the job few of us can even imagine. Now they are coming home. God bless America, God bless the President of the United States, and God bless our soldiers, each and every one of them.

Soldier Boy

SOLDIER BOY
Are you dreaming of Sun Valley fair?
It's a road you've traveled alone.
Remember Bergdahl, when you get there
We will always welcome you home.

Tell your Father, the reason you'd gone.
If you left your friends in God's care.
Remember, Bergdahl, you've been alone
Longer than we thought you'd be there.

God is our reason for taking your hand.
Is your blood not that of our own?
We'll be all forgiving, if you understand,
Why we'll always welcome you home.

Welcome home, Soldier Boy.
