Soldier Boy
Soldier boy you look so really smart
Can see why you joined up from the start
Promised you the world that you'd see
Did they mention at what cost it would be
Soldier boy was killing mentioned to you
Something all soldiers are required to do
Kill a fellow human being or be killed
Does it soldier boy leave you fulfilled
Soldier boy do you miss your mum and dad
You were the only child for them they had
Soldier boy get home safe that's all I say
Thought about constantly day after day
