Soldier

Soldier so far from home,
families, friends always
thinking of you,
and holding you dear…

Lonely as you may be soldier,
you are not forgotten,
I can remember when
you sat on my knee…

I’ve seen you grow from birth,
into what you are today,
a fine soldier here to stay…

You are always on the mind
of those you know and love,
our little soldier is loved...

Whether in peacetime or war,
you will always know that
in the hearts of those close,
you will truly be loved…

You are always our soldier,
standing tall and true,
while we well always be thinking
of you while you are protecting us…

Soldier, stand tall, and protect our
freedom, from all who want to harm,
we will always remember and
love you for your just deeds...
