Sold Out Self! Self! “Deny self ... take up ‘my’ cross, and follow...”!?! What is self!?! What must I deny self? Why deny self? Self!?! Self!?! Simply Earthly Limited Focus! Word to ponder, “The carnal man is enmity against God...” Self! Self is corrupt, carnal, sinful, selfish, self-seeking...; Yes, self has to be crucified, if I am to be sold-out to Christ. Self! Self makes me lie, steal, cheat, kill, hate, curse, disobey ...; Self! Self hinders compassion, unity, empathy, obedience, purpose. Self! Self leads to adultery, fornication, depravity, and such like. Self! Self angers God, grieves the Holy Spirit, ‘re-crucifies’ Christ. Yes, self has to be crucified, if I am to be sold-out outright.. Self! Self misleads, self misdirects, self influences, self controls; “The things that I do not want to do, those things I do...;” Yes, self has to be crucified, if I am to be sold-out to Christ. I must deny self! I must “Set my mind on things above...;” I can’t let self think, can’t let self control; “As I think, so am I.” I don’t want to be carnal, luke-warm, and be “Spewed out...” So, self has to be crucified, if I am to be sold-out to Christ.
