Solace

Ready for the dreams of night
Imagine you so close
Holding me so near to you
I would love that the most

Could I be your Juliet
And you my Romeo
Separated not by death
Just as I told you so

I found solace in your arms
The passion of your touch
I wouldn't bring you any harm
Or pain of any such

What lies within your heart
Do you have a wounded soul
Are there stitches torn apart
Is it dank and cold

I hope to find a glimpse of me
When I look into your eyes
Glance into my soul to see
I will never tell you lies.

Thank you for your kind words! One comment is all I need to sharpen my pencil and keep trying. My passions are in short supply these days, so I will try to draw upon the ones of long ago. All feedback greatly appreciated! Thanks again!

wow. Andrea, this is a lovely poem and feeling. I wish I could attract a man who will not question my ways and loving eyes. Searching the deepness in ones heart is true reassuring love. enjoyed~PD
