Notes About The Poem

Image result for pictures of elderly silver haired women

Softly Falls

The frost falls softly like thinning silver hair, a blanket Upon fallen leaves, dead grass, windowpanes, bare tree limbs shake As does silver haired woman, ready to shed earth's wrinkled house

Wonderful winter imagery and I love the similarity to the ladies white hair. The accompanying photo is quite lovely. A beautiful combination Sara! Smiles, Anne :-)

How beautiful and deep is this sijo. You’ve written so well and the picture used here fits the poem so well. I love how you’ve especially written “ The frost falls softly like thinning silver hair“ brilliant simile to compared frost to silver hair that is thinning is accurate. I always feel like various seasons do symbolise age and time. I love the flow of this too. Pleasure reading your work always. Sending you light always
