The memories
soft as cashmere
wrap their warmth
around me
if I could just
feel through the feels
what time through truth
revealed
betrayal
is like a breeze
that chills the bones
and never leaves
the door
is harder to open
after years and years
the heart still rustles
crackling
a fire within
lit with broken
pieces of trust
burning
words
forging
swords
ashes to ashes
dust to dust
