Society

The President leads our country
Trying to create a peaceful society

Celebrities are few but treated like kings
Some act and some sing
Actors and Actresses light up the screen
Displaying themes imagined in dreams
Athletes run, shoot, and pass
Heroes for children
Entertaining the mass

Soldiers at war knocking on death’s door
Do we know what they’re fighting for?

People starve, not just for food
Money, shelter, and non depressed moods

A country consisting of many religions
Entertained by athleticism
Bounded by patriotism
Plagued by racism
Home of the brave,
Land of the free and
Equality are
What liberty and justice mean to me
But on a daily basis that is not what I see
So how come these words
That are memorized and recited by many
Aren’t reality and
Continue to deceive me?

I Say
Learn so you can teach
Love don’t hate is a good cliché to preach
Communicate to motivate
Take control and decide your fate
Always think wise to avoid demise

REVOLUTIONIZE

And soon we’ll realize
Society relies on how hard WE try.
