Society

Who is society to say two men can't seal their love with marriage
Why can't they let two people be happy
They're human beings with beating hearts
Someone tell me why...

Who is society to say a woman can't get an abortion
If a woman knows she can't love and support a child
Why should anyone argue with that
Someone tell me why...

Who is society to say marijuana is bad
Show me the research that says it can take a life
Marijuana helps thousands of people every day
Someone tell me why...

But it's okay for two women to make out, it's sexy!
But it's okay to dump a child off at someone's front door, way safer than abortion
But it's okay to sell cigarettes, it's never killed anyone

Is it society Selena or those we elect to represent society . Could it be fear of upsetting ancient religious beliefs , Men with potential self interest design our laws and men with deeply held religious beliefs write our bibles , If you go to Holland , You can go into some cafes and bars and buy marijuana legally , I've never tried drugs myself but I have seen those cafes I expected them being absolutely overflowing with drug taking zombies , They just weren't . Good poem my friend,.
