Society

Society is ugly,

This we surely know.

If you aren’t perfect

It will surely show.

"You’re not good enough,"

Is what they have to say.

Don’t let their thoughts

Alter how you go about your day.

The definition of beauty,

Is not skin and bone.

It’s not loads of makeup,

Or a Barbie like clone.

Beauty comes within,

Deep down inside

Let your true colors show,

Take each day in stride.

Don’t let anyone,

Get inside your head.

Stay true to yourself,

No matter what is said.

Because in the end,

Looks will surely fade

All that will remain is

How true to yourself you stayed.
