Social Trauma - Update 2023

Social Trauma

I keep checking my mobile phone
But there seems to be no messages
Or emails shown,
Even though my address
And number, are so well known.

Is there something not ok with me?
Have I done something wrong?
Is there something I’ve missed or don’t see?
Because I’ve had no tweets or likes
For much too long.

Nothing, yes nothing!
For two whole days!

Maybe they have forgotten that I exist?
Does my empty displays
Mean that I’m not missed?
This silent cyberspace
Surely show that people
Don’t like me anymore.
Maybe it was the lipstick
That didn’t fit
To the clothes that I wore?

Did I reveal too much of what I really think?
My Instagram followers are cruel and unforgiving
Maybe they’ve blocked my link?
Oh, Life doesn’t seem worth living
And now with my hair in a mess,
I can’t go out and meet strangers
Who probably won’t understand
And couldn’t care less
And anyway… don’t know who I am,
So I feel so stressed
And don’t know what to do?
Who to talk to or even what to say
And now my laptop is dead too
Already since yesterday.
