Sober Today
I'm sober today, and that's the way
My life was meant to be.
I gave up the drink, now I can think
And start to work on me.
I live my life with minimum strife;
I live from day to day.
My days shine bright with an inner light
Now that I've found my way.
My Father above fills me with love
For my fellow man.
Living in light, I try not to fight
His intricate plan.
Just for today is the only way
My sobriety can survive
I gave up the drink; now I can think--
That's why I'm still alive.
