Distaste for unknown,
Being insecurity prone.
The “What if” thoughts lurking around;
A mantra embedded, like background sound.
Familiar with words such as, “I quit.”
Foreign to the meaning of “SO what if.....

Enjoyed this, Barbara. I see from these few lines you are a thinking person, inquisitive, and even daring. Most people like wearing blinders. When life offers so much to teach the mind and enrich the imagination, not to take advantage of life's one time advantage seems to me a waste of life. Best to you in your writing endeavors. /M
