So Tomorrow You'Ll Be New

So tomorrow you'll be new
Redesigned and redefined
How I love that about you
All my good intensions you misconstrue

The stars no longer shine
But you dream above the city
The sky's no longer blue
Oh but your eyes tell me nothing's true

The only beautiful bird is fried chicken
But you still love singing in the kitchen
There's still so much oil in the ground
You shower in the cool beeze above the clouds

You live the life you mean
You see the other side of the moon
You zeal with nil
You thrill ill-will well, with goodwill

The sunset's no longer that memorable
But you still believe in romance
Sunshine is now a cancer
But you see beauty in all that danger

I sleep beneath your ivory
You are my envy, an everlasting memory
I caress your mystery with my fantasy
I don't care why you are my enemy

You wash all that you gaze anew
You fill the air with life
Your heart is a treasury
You cut the lock and I'm guilty of piracy

I'm not going to figure it out today
How you hope so far
Your shadow is a scar unto the night
You colour the rainbow with delight
