So Starkly Silent Now

So starkly silent now So bare The branches of the tree In nakedness It stands not shivering Despite the winds Of shame It is immobile Inert as death And deathlier pale With nothing to let to hide And this oak So formidable before In the merest cycle of his love Stands finite and frail Amidst a brown trash heap of leaves.

A very sad nature poem. Beautifully garnished with meaningful words, really a delightful read, L'nass. (^_^) Noel.

Beautiful write my friend I believe the barren state midst the pile of dead leaves bares a beauty greater then a tree full and flashy. The barren fragile state shows how strong a tree is made to hold four times its weight and how deep the roots dig in. Bravo Love Cookie
