So Now You Know

So now you know for all these years the darkness
I've been hiding
You want to help and don't know how,
but still expect me to continue confiding.

Expectations too high, I don't know?
But I struggle and try to please you.
Accountability is driving me deeper inside
finding ways not to disappoint you.

Soon though, I fall from your grace and hurt
you blame me for my weakness'.
You see, but can't understand why I push away
to live within my loneliness.

The next time I fall you won't know,
because it hurts to be the one to hurt you
As for me, I've lived there alone before
and still continued to live among you.
