So mysterious Makes things curious Minds delirious First friends at play Maybe lover’s today Next day running away Giving just enough To keep our hearts tough Making things rough Motives unclear Don’t know who cares Desperately need to share Hearts are blind Looked but could not find What it takes to release the bind Dare we be bold Bare our souls Lose all control Lay

Hey, Lay, I'm sorry about the name confusion. My bad. This is a poem to which many of us can relate. It's been years since I was able to open my heart for fear of having it crushed. It really takes strength to open up. Some of the Soup contests challenge us to share our innermost thoughts. Occasionally I'll take on this challenge, but usually I prefer to keep them to myself.
