So Much Pain

Walk with me
journey a mile within my shoes
share the tales of a thousand moons
Learn from the life you see
witness the burdens bore
the pressure upon this soul
 The tears cried
the hurt held inside
emotions that is hid from eyes
 Know the emptiness
and the bitterness within this soul
the secrets of pain
held within
ready to burst
 Seen as normal
but a war rages within
holding in so much
revealing so little

No you can't judge a man until you've walked in his shoes. I enjoyed your poem. Thanks Marty

So many of us hide the wars that "rage within," Donny. This reads like mankind's message to the world. We all wish others understood our feelings. But having read your fine work before, I am sure theere is no "emptiness" within your soul. There is strong emotion that exudes in your writes! Love, Carolyn
