So Much More
Higher than the mountains
and deeper than the ocean.
It can make a strong man crumble
or stir up true devotion.
It can reduce a heart of steel
to teardrops in ones eyes.
It's the center of a hurricane
the echoes of ones cries.
It's the tender act of kindness
when your world falls apart.
The strength of overcoming
the healing of a broken heart.
It's in the tears a mother cries
for a sons life lost in war.
In this world it's known as love
and yet it's so much more.
It's the sacrifice a stranger makes
a second chance at life.
It's mother and a father
a husband and a wife.
It's a window that is open
when a door somewhere slams shut.
It's the feeling when love finds you
intuition in your gut.
A flower in a parking lot
that's pushed up through the stone.
The racing of your heart
when you find you're not alone.
It's heavens gate swung open
it's a knock on your hearts door.
In this world it's known as love
and yet it's so much more
