So Long To Winter

You drop slowly to the ground
Silently, not making a sound
You gather layer upon layer of dust
Playing with you is a must.

You get colder the more I watch
You melt at my very touch
Coming to see me in winter season
Without any rhyme or reason.

I can only play with you so long
Until your season is done
I must wait for a season new
then bid you winter adieu.

Ah Phyl, how I wish it were true, despite the hope you express, it hangs in front of me like an enduring chill. Now write me one to get me through it! :) Luv, Lizzie
