So Long

It took so very long,
I've prayed that someone just like you, would one day come along.
(chorus)

I thought I had love in my life.
I thought I had it all.
Then you entered with your worship,
What I really had,
was greed ,a lust so terribly small

I thought I had happiness in my life.
I thought I had it all.
Then you entered with your gentle heart,
What I really had ,was misery standing tall.

(chorus)

I thought I had devotion in my life.
I thought I had it all.
Then you entered with Good News,
What I really had,
was inner sin,
My infant spirit barely crawled.

I thought I had trust in my life.
I thought I had it all.
Then you entered with forgiveness,
What I really had was mercy on a spiral fall.

I thought I had marriage in my life.
I thought I had it all.
Then you entered in my life,
What I really had was a wounded soul.
Our maker ,He decided,
United we were called.

(chorus)
