So Little Time

So Little Time If I seem a little down and sometimes wear a frown, I guess it’s just because I get a little sad. It’s so hard to understand why time with you I’ve planned Cannot be mine because of times you’ve had. There are so precious few hours to spend with you – It hurts to think you’d use them foolishly. It’s like stealing from the blind and life seems so unkind But I find no one is to blame except me. I sometimes wish that we could be more, in this life, than people see. But the cards are dealt and we must play our hand. So, I sit and wonder why and sometimes want to cry Because of things in life I just can’t understand. John Posey10/24/13

John; this is a wonderful poem. Things do happen in life that we don't understand, buut whatever little time we have left - we have to do the best we can. thanks for sharing...Lucilla

such a poignant piece that was written from the heart...life is not always fair and we may never understand why some always find pain and others always pleasure...beautifully penned :) hugs
