So I Grew Tired

I grew tired of the tender rain,
That fell on hearts too long in bloom,
Of songs that echoed soft with pain,
Then vanished into gloom.

I grew tired of waiting nights,
When stars refused to stay,
And dreams that burned with silver lights,
Then quietly slipped away.

I grew tired of gentle hands,
That trembled when they blessed,
Of love that asked for promises,
When silence would have guessed.

And here I am still waiting, for that
Kiss you promised me.

Remember that I'm autistic in the spectrum of testing and communication. I never took an English class past the seventh grade. I'm trying to find someone here to pay my subscription here. I live on 957 dollars a month and without my phone I totally freak out. Thank you Paige, James
