So Awfully Lonely

     a lonely park bench
     under an old oak tree
     there’s a boy sitting there
        who can it be

     why – it’s my son
     he looks so awfully lonely
my eyes tear up uncontrollably ~
        the finger points at me

Hi Gershon, a touching and heartfelt poem on regrets a parent has in not spending enough time with their child/children growing up. A beauteous write. Blessings ~

You perceive it just as I envisioned it, Regina. I was hoping someone would. Thanks, gw

Very touching, Gershon. Nice poetic rendation of the fact of life.
