Snowflakes

Twirling, swirling
Spinning round and round
A little piece of wonder
A touch of magic
Creates a beautiful masterpiece
The wonder of it strikes me on the nose
It slowly melts
And all is gone
But looking round and round
Thousands of master pieces fall softly to the ground
Each one different
And each one just a little bit unique
All combine
All accumulate
To lay a white glittering blanket over everything in sight
Soon the world is white with beauty
As the snowflakes settle and find a spot
The sun goes down
The last rays reflect the snow
Sending glitter across the ground
All is calm
They've done their part and they say goodbye
With a twinkle and a sparkle as the sun goes down
