Snowfall

I hear the crunch and see the footprint
On the virgin snow beneath my feet
I don’t want to mar its beauty
But this urge I must complete

To be the first to have trodden
On this vast expanse of virgin snow
Many more will follow shortly
But I was here the first , I know

How much joy and satisfaction
Do we reap from this simple treat
To be the first to make a footprint
On the virgin snow beneath our feet

Then you think I wish I hadn’t
Spoiled that great expanse of white
Please don’t worry about your mishap
There’s more snow coming in tonight

Hello Robert Andrew Lyle, freshly falen snow is beautiful. I do not makes the first footprint. The snow would be too deep I would sink in. So I would not do the first footprints. Enjoy your day my friend.

Hello Robert Andrew Lyle, England does not get much snow. This year Canada did not get too much snow because we have been getting Spring thaws. it did snow last night but it was not stormy. Ice is a problem for me as well. Enjoy your day my friend.
