Snowed In

fiend's grin
snowed in

bones cold
feel old

frostbite
skin's blight

day's gray
like clay

stars dark
no spark

sans hope
twist ~ rope

Nice, Gershon. Wind Chill, bitter pill.

Ha, ha! Like your footle comment there, Eric! Yesterday (Monday) we got an additional 18 inches of snow in our area of Chicago, for a total of 40 inches on the ground. Winter wonderland, if you love shoveling... Peace, Gershon

This is poem is true even for me--in Mississippi. Snow, ice, temps ranging from 3 to 20! Good job on a challenging style, Gershon. Janice

Clever and succinct in your depictions of a dreary winter day, GW. Can't wait for spring to arrive ~ John

Me, neither, John! Pitchers and Catchers report to most MLB teams tomorrow (Wed., Feb. 17). One sign of Spring... Maybe if they shortened Spring Training, the weather would have to warm up faster. (Fat Chance, eh?!). Here's Hoping.

Frostbite, you have that right! Spring over the hill, out of sight!

Spring is something I've lost in my step. :) gw
