Snow Globe Memories

God reigns in my snow globe memories With His grace warming chilly December Reverberating Earth's peace* as He's planned Sounding triumphant joy of no slumber Midst sparkling reunion's glowing ember While each clan member gives special number. There in my "winterless" territory Saviour grants gifts always with blessed delight Supplying needs by His bounty's glory Gladly shared with generosity's light Intensifying Christmas giving's height To prevail in all seasons of love's might. Words of cheer are heard in my land of hope Along the Tropics devoid of snow Where cold weather marks moments for care-cope When well-being goes to its downward flow And hospital-admission brings sorrow With debilitating status-arrow. In my Dad's intensive care unit nook The Lord visits my globe's health-brook.
*Luke 2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Original Title: Winter Wonder Dream Land December 24, 2018 1st place, "CONTEST NO 550..." Poetry Contest Sponsored by Brian Strand; judged on 1/31/2019.
