Snow Day

As I sit and watch the snow fall,
As the world becomes covered in white,
I think how pure and clean it seems,
Oh, it's such a beautiful sight.
There's a wonderful fresh blanket,
On the trees that were bare,
There's a Winter wonderland,
Waiting for me out there.
I'll wrap up warm,
Grab my gloves, a scarf and a hat,
I'll put my winter coat on,
Then go out and play like that.
I'll join in with a snowball fight,
Then build a snowman too,
There's joy and fun to be found,
That I'd love to share with you.
By the end of the day,
I won't be able to feel my nose,
I'll cuddle up by the fire with you,
We can warm our freezing toes.
With a cup of hot chocolate,
We can laugh about our day,
Like how we acted like children,
When we went out to play.

Like a Rockwell painting, Kay. : ) Makes me long for a "real" winter.

It would be a wonderful day. I'll forego the chicken soup though and have brandy with my cocoa :)
