Snow

White crisp, forever somewhere
Falls down with me gently
Layers me with warmth
An icy cloak

Fall down with me
comfort me
through the night
I remember

Crisp footsteps
As a child walks
Chilly breaths taken
And exhaled

Fall down with me
Comfort me
Until morning
I remember

Icy toes and noses
A new sled
Down an icy path
And back again

Fall down with me
Comfort me
Until I sleep
I remember

Left with memories
Of a past child
No home now
Only snow

Fall down with me
Comfort me
Until the end
I remember
