Snapping Green Beans

The bucket of beans stares me down Duty calls accomplish this task No! Poetry comes first for me__frown "What about other jobs", he asks. When will I finish this load__care Today will slip away from here Out soon into land of dreams Make believe and fancy wild schemes Like the Lilies__ neither toil; spin None more magnificently clothed I will be just as lovely as them My clothing will be love's spirit Praise God for those clothes__Glory Him Wonderful worship this day brings Thank you God for a few moments To glorify your Holy name...Amen

Great Write! Do you know the difference between a nun and a woman who is not? The nun says, "Amen". The woman says, "Ah, men". lol Keep your pen going! Dan C

This one brings such warm thoughts of my grandmother, whose faith sustained her all her life, who let me sit on the porch and help her snap beans. A lovely memory...thanks for bringing this back to me. Love, Carrie
