Snake In a Lake

Was it a mistake? To swim with a snake in a lake? Could we enjoy a leisurely swim? Can I make a friend out of him? I see his fangs and his flicking tongue, Just as our swim begun, Will he have fun and let me be, Or will he turn and strike me? I brought a towel for us to sun on, I hope this doesn’t go wrong, What do I look down and see? That snake chewing on me. I just wanted a swim, He with me and I with him. I can’t tell you how bad I felt, When I made that snake into a belt.

LOL - you probably wear that belt proudly. He won't bite you now.
