Snake

slithering slither
through the tall grass
stocking his prey

slithering slither
under the ground
building a home

slithering slither
over rocks and soil
shedding his scaly
slimy skin

slithering slither
on moss and trees
hearing a noise of
his predator

slithering slither
fast as he can
and snatch

wiggling
shaking
now in the claws
of a mighty owl
