Smokin Joe

He grew up playing the blues
Like he was telling a happy news
His great mastery of his game
Since he was four, has made his name

He keeps the blues music alive
And makes the whim of his fellows jive
For, blues music must never die
It makes the spirits fly so high

Blues and rock he plays together
To make the magic last forever
Great messages in his every song
It makes the smoke last for long

If there's smoke, there is fire
But he ignites the flame of desire
To keep the blues music playing
Like the sound of a heart beating

There was a new day yesterday
And his great blues had come to stay
For, he was meant to be star
That shines so brightly from afar
