Smitten by her Smile

I saw the world in black and white, Till her smile poured in the light. A curve so soft, so sweet, so wild— It made the cynic in me mild. No thunder cracked, no heavens roared, Just one glance—and my soul soared. A silent spell, a sunlit mile, I stood undone… smitten by her smile. It wasn’t loud, it didn’t shout, But all my fears, it silenced out. Like springtime wrapped in human form, Her smile could make the cold feel warm. No poets taught me how to feel The way her grin could make me kneel. Not out of duty, pride, or guile— But simply… smitten by her smile.
