Smitten

Smitten by a bitter love, my heart could take no more,
All of my experiences i started to implore,
I impoored my inner being to come through for me one more time,
And take my love and place it out there on the line,
I've searched for a cure, for this bitter love less than pure,
When the answer came to mind, My heart asked and I replied,
I am not sure, I cannot say how much indifference I can take,
Wish I may, wish I might, find a warm love tonight,
Take away the bitterness, fill my heart with bliss,
Show me how to love, exactly the way love was meant to be,
The bitterness has chased away the warmth love has inside it,
To recapture the depths of my desire, would take all of my life,
Though love has gone away from me, I'll cling to what I've learned,
My experience has taught me to be whereever your heart desires...
