Smile.
The light in a smile 's
such a welcome sight
it warms the heart
In the chill of night.
Like gentle wind
from an angel’s wings
that touch our souls
as it first takes flight.
The light in a smile's
like food to the soul,
a treat to a child,
a touch of gold
even so , our smile's so rare
as we think more often of the burdens we bear.
The light in a smile
fills one’s heart with joy
even as we toil
the frown on our brow briefly disappears
as the warmth in a smile extends good cheer.
