Smelly

Acrid odors waft
assaulting my senses:
your butt stinks

A member of our local poetry group grew up in South Korea. He is Humanities Chair, and Creative Writing Professor at our local Christian University, and is an expert in Haiku and other oriental poetry forms. He says that the distinguishing feature which morphs a Haiku into a Senyru is a touch of irony or satire. At any rate, I like your poems.

LOL. Too funny. Are you sure this isn't senyru?

thank you. That is a good question that would require an answer much to lengthy for a reply and each poet has their own interpretation of what makes a Haiku a Senryu. But in short there are no emotions or human nature involved, which is where I personally make the cut. I thank you for reading and I really appreciate your question as I continue to refine my style.
