Small Things

The things that make the world go round
We often take for granted
The big things that we strive to reach
Can leave us disenchanted

The miracles that we see each day
Are usually small in size
But day by day they're always there
We just don't realize

Like when the sun begins to rise
And starts a brand new day
But what if it was there no more
To chase the night away?

And what if all the clouds so high
Would simply refuse to rain
We don't see these as miracles
But then we would complain

Take away the clothes you wear
Or the shoes that's on your feet
All the gardens would grow no more
Then what would we have to eat?

What if the one you love the most
Was no longer by your side?
There couldn't be a bridegroom
So we wouldn't need a bride

Take away your nice warm bed
Or the water that we drink
Take away the bathroom
Or even the kitchen sink

So when you think of miracles
Be thankful for it all
Thank God for all He's given us
And don't forget the small

Beautiful, Larry. We should take a step back and appreciate these things. Nice going. Ralph
