The days dawn falling in 
Uncertain brokenness 

Strangeness 
came in waves 
of multicolored
Cool sunrays 

Nothing would be the same
		He said
But nothing ever is 

Instead 
	Of small talk delayed

The gardener went about 
his business
Pruning the garden
