Shy Little Squirrel.
I thought I saw a squirrel running to my tree.
I'm sure it was a squirrel as he stopped to look at me.
He ran across the garden and in the trees small hole.
He is often in my garden as he visits Mr Mole.
I would like to make a friend of him and every day I try.
Mr Squirrel's too fast for me I think he must be shy.
So I think I'll leave him with his friend
and watch him from time to time.
I'll leave him out some nuts and things
this shy squirrel of mine.
Then if he should brave up some day
and come to say hello.
He'll have more than nuts and things
but a friendship that will grow.
