Slow-Burn Puppy Love
Sunlight
steadily focused
through the magnifying glass
over an infinitesimal piece of hay
takes some time
to spark a flame.
Falling in love
for the first time
was the same way for me.
Sitting right next to a pretty girl
In high school,
as shy as I was. And I knew
We liked each other.
One fine day, in class,
I swallowed hard,
drew in a deep breath
and then whispered
Into her right ear...
"I like you, "
Much to my surprise ,
she replied...
"I like you, too."
And that was...
the beginning
of our story
