Slow Down

Slow down The days are moving too fast And the memories don’t seem to last Long enough for me To take them in Slow down I need you right now, Your presence slowly fading away, I want you to stay I need you to slow down I know you have to leave But Can’t you come back for a little longer? Let’s have one more conversation, Then maybe... Maybe I’ll let you go Hesitation... Slow down Your voice echoes in my heart In the background of my soul I try not to make a sound So for a moment i feel whole I need to hear your voice One last time After that I’ll try to be fine But there’s never really a “One last time” I swear i tried To be as strong as you Wanted me to be Even when it becomes hard to breathe I breathe Slow down Why are you in such a hurry to leave? Stay strong, hold on, and just breathe Please slow down Don’t walk away from me You’re the father i need And besides You promised you’d never leave That’s what you made me believe Slow down; Daddy just slow down
