As you can see in this photo, I am not slim here; but you don’t see me crying in a corner about it. Oh but I have at times before; but that won’t get you anywhere! Neither will self hate, drowning your sorrows with whipped cream bottoms up, standing in front of the door of your refrigerator.
Make the decisions you need to make and with all that is in you, hold to your commitments. While you are trying to better your body, your looks, or your health... don’t envy the former you, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and can’t be torn down overnight! See yourself beautiful... look in the mirror and tell you, “I love you!” It’s still you...just love yourself where you’re at. It’s the stress that’s keeping you out of that dress!
You never know how slim you were
til how slim you used to be,
You see the pics of then and now,
of the slim you didn’t see.
We then wish, to go back in time,
and be that slim once more,
But then, was when you wished you were,
as slim as you were before.
So I decided long ago,
that slim ain’t what I need,
I need to love myself enough,
to make “eating to live“ my creed.
So love yourself right where you’re at,
The skin that you are in,
Until you do you will repeat,
the vicious cycle again.
Love you for you and only you,
not for them, those, her or him.
Only then will you be strong to see,
then be, yourself to slim!
