Slice of Heaven
On a cold, icy day, You came into the world
With Rainbows and sunshine and glitter to light your way.
With a joyful shout, you were here,
Blessed with a bold spirit, you showed no fear.
Your giggles are glitter, your laughs, the sweetest sunshine,
Hearing you call me ‘mommy’ is simply divine.
Rainbows and sunshine light your path
When I want to cry, you try to make me laugh.
When the world is unforgiving, dark and cold
You hug me tight and give me your small hand to hold.
You snuggle into my side, Your eyes shine with love,
and mine shine with pride.
You are the sunshine and light of my days
Rainbows and glitter light your way.
Your gentleness of spirit and thoughtful nature are your greatest gifts
One kind word from you, or a smile, and the darkest soul lifts.
Beloved, do you know how much you are loved?
How many nights we begged, pleaded, cried and prayed to Heavenly Father above?
We aren’t perfect, but we desperately wanted a child, all at once we were blessed with a perfect love.
We never knew what a heart could hold
That someone could bring such joy, and light into the darkest cold.
Your warmth, your mischievous nature, even your attitude are a delight because you are you.
We love you , through and through.
Rainbows and sunshine and glitter and a heart of gold light your way.
God blessed me with you as my daughter and I am thankful every day.
