Sleepless Nights

layin my head down
heavy pillow and angry dreams
layin my mind down
cant sleep but its all a dream
Creme de la creme or cream of the cream
right now, thoughts are the worst of the worst
been up so long my eyes are blurred
20/20 vision but didnt see the turn..
of the clock, tick tock 1am
blink and yawn thats 20 minutes
hidden in the internet
on a quest..
embark to a reasonable test
to exercise..
the inner workings of the mind
and maybe in time, my mind..
at rest, can i go to bed
layin my head down
warm pillow, cold hot sweats
layin my head down
eyes red, lookin like a mess
is my head so heavy
and thoughts so many
.. my minds an alley
so full but plenty empty
its 3:16,
my room is clean
kitchen nice and neat
took a shower, shaved, brushed my teeth
took a jog on the street
took care of the air conditioner
no more heat, finally beat
feel like i can go to sleep
so...
i lay my head down
mind at rest, eyes heavy
i lay my head down
6:30 alarms going off
its time for work, have to get up
